Jeanette Korab

Jeanette Korab is a versatile artist from South Dakota, holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephens College and pursuing graduate studies at Texas Woman's University. Her career has a global reach, including teaching in Switzerland and refining her skills in artistic hubs like Santa Fe, Venice, and Paris. Initially starting in fashion photography during the 1980s, she captured industry legends such as Edith Head and Karl Lagerfeld. Transitioning to painting, Korab created photorealistic works inspired by her travels, including Carnival in Venice and fantasy botanicals.

One of her most memorable artistic journeys took place in Paris. After painting the Eiffel Tower, photographing Notre Dame, and viewing art at the Louvre, Jeanette was drawn to the city's fashion scene. It was during this time of window shopping at various galleries and boutiques that Jeanette spotted the classic stiletto that would later be featured in her "Paris 2012" art series.
